About Evangelist Waters

March 14, 1980, God filled me with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38-39. I was later baptized in water. Since I grew up in a Christian home, I had a solid Christian foundation of the Word of God. Shortly after receiving the Holy Ghost, God began using me to teach his word. When my Bishop and the head pastors of several of our churches announced to me, God wanted me to teach the Ordained Ministers Sunday School Class, I ran from that calling. Of course God had already spoken to me about his chosen field for which he wanted me to labor in. I was already serving in other areas ministry.

God eventually made sure I stopped running from the teaching ministry. I surrendered to his will and began teaching the Ordained Ministers Sunday School Class. God continued using me in other areas of ministry. I was fulfilled and ministry came very natural to me.
God ordained me a Minister of Jesus Christ to cry aloud and spare not, to teach his people their transgressions and sins. (Isaiah 58:1) This is the ministry capacity he has always used me in.

The Great Commission

As I continue to work out my Salvation, God has given me a burden for his people. It is my heart’s desire that Israel (Christians) be saved. Now, God has given me a commission to fulfill Matthew 28: 19-20 as a Teacher of His Word and an Evangelist (Ephesians 4:11-13).

I am determined to make my calling and election sure as an Evangelist as I embark on this new journey commissioned by the Lord.

My Calling:

God has called me mainly to teach and preach his word to the church.

Romans 10:1-3

10 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

²For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
³For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

With a church on almost every corner, you would think America would be in better standing with God. It's sad to say, many churches today simply have programs. People go to church, but many do not know how to serve God. The answer is in the Word of God. We must repent of our sins. We must worship God in spirit and in truth and we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind. We must put on Christ Jesus. We must crucify our flesh daily. We must walk in the pray in the spirit, walk in the spirit. We must abide in Christ and he mus abide in us. We must be doers of the Word.

Church is not a place of entertainment, it is a place of worship and reverence to our Holy God! A place to learn how to live holy.

There is very little difference between the world and the church today. The bible says:

2 Corinthians 6:16-18

¹⁶And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

¹⁷Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
¹⁸And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

1 Peter 2:9-10

⁹But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

¹⁰Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

God has always made a difference with his people and he has ordained me to preach it and teach it, so we can live it!

The Call of God

Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Matthew 28:18-20 ¹⁸And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. ¹⁹Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
